This year, during the traditional Language Day celebration at the Monterey Institute of Foreign Languages (California, USA), there was another presentation of the almanac "Literary America." This annual collection, which has been published for eight years now, has found fans on every continent, including among the institute's students studying Russian and their professors. Some of them are members of the editorial board.
The almanac's primary audience consists of people from the former Soviet Union and readers interested in contemporary Russian literary processes.
Guests of the presentation were pleased to learn that since its first issues, the almanac has become one of the most authoritative foreign publications in Russian. It serves as a unique platform for modern Russian-speaking writers, poets, journalists, and literary critics who live and work outside Russia. В этом году на традиционном празднике Language Day в Монтерейском институте иностранных языков (Калифорния, США) состоялась очередная презентация альманаха "Литературная Америка". Этот ежегодный сборник, который издаётся уже восемь лет, нашёл своих поклонников на всех континентах, в том числе у студентов института, изучающих русский язык, а также у их преподавателей, ведь некоторые из их числа входят в состав редколлегии.
Аудитория альманаха - прежде всего выходцы из бывшего Советского Союза, а также те читатели, кому интересны литературные процессы в современной русской словесности.
Гости презентации были рады узнать, что с первых своих выпусков альманах стал одним из самых авторитетных зарубежных изданий на русском языке. Он представляет собой уникальную площадку для современных русскоязычных писателей, поэтов, журналистов и литературных критиков, которые живут и работают за пределами России.
