New Library in SSF. Grand opening. Открытие новой библиотеки в South San Francisco.

I met with the mayor of San Mateo County, Mrs. Nicolas, at the first Italian Fiesta held in Orange Memorial Park this September. The festival was attended by people of various nationalities, both those born in the USA and new immigrants.

It was then that I got the idea to propose to the city mayor to organize a celebration the following fall in the same park for the 190th anniversary of the fairy tale "The Little Humpbacked Horse", which has been translated into more than 80 different languages and is published in various countries around the world.

I shared my idea with Mayor Nicolas, and she invited me to the opening of the new library in her city and offered to introduce me to the library's management.

Yesterday, my mother, son, and I attended a wonderful event to which we were invited by the mayor of South San Francisco, Mrs. Nicholas - the opening of the new library! Naturally, we came bearing gifts - "The Little Humpbacked Horse" in Russian, English, and Spanish! We met the library director, presented our gifts, and discussed the possibility of future collaboration.

As for the building itself, it's astounding! There were at least two thousand people, if not more! The library filled up with readers immediately! And of course, we left with some new books in hand...

Именно тогда появилась у меня идея предложить меру города организовать в этом же парке следующей осенью празднование 190-летнего юбилея сказки "Конек-Горбунок", переведенной на более чем 80 разных языков, и издающаяся в разных странах мира.

Поделилась я своей идей с mayor Nicolas , а она пригласила меня на открытие новой библиотеки в её городе, и предложила познакомить меня с руководством библиотеки.

Вчера мы с мамой и сыном посетили замечательное мероприятие, на которое нас пригласила мэр города South San Francisco mrs. Nicholas - открытие новой библиотеки! Конечно же, мы пришли с подарками - "Конёк-Горбунок" на русском, Английском и испанском! Познакомились с директором библиотеки, вручили дары и обсудили возможность дальнейшего сотрудничества!

Ну а здание потрясающее! Народу - тысячи две, не меньше! Библиотека заполнились читателями немедленно! Ну и мы с книжечками новыми ушли…
